Shipboard IVN Telecommunications SME needed to work in the shipboard communications.




Responsibilities:
  • Area troubleshooting

  • Installation

  • Design and training of IVN shipboard communication systems

  • Write test plans, SOVTs and white papers for IVN systems


  • Review drawings, schematics and designs for accuracy, compliance and completeness.

  • Perform shipboard troubleshooting, installation, and design of IVN shipboard systems and electronic components

  • Perform Lab based configuration, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and design of IVN system


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree in a related field of engineering or technology or completion of USN or DoD technical schools.

  • Background in telephony and Avaya communication systems,IVN shipboard.

  • 5 or more years experience

  • Current SECRET clearance or ability to obtain is required

Desired Qualifications:



  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide system training

  • Prior experience with shipboard installations processes and controls

  • Ability to write test plans, SOVTs and white papers effectively

  • Ability to read schematics, install, repair, and maintain electronic systems or equipment

  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning electronic equipment and systems, and determine the level and method of repair

  • Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring equipment

  • Skill in using diagnostic and testing equipment

  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, illustration, specification, diagrams, and schematics to make repairs and modifications
