Software Engineer II - Regression and Automation Testing

**Job Description:**
Position Summary
Bank of America is seeking an experienced Software Development Quality Assurance Regression tester in support of test portfolio planning and execution of end to end regression and automation deliverables. Candidate will be responsible for regression test execution and oversight, documenting best practices, mentoring team members, development of functional test plans and take complete accountability of regression test delivery. Candidate will be expected to analyze and troubleshoot functional and automation test issues and assist team in ongoing automation and test efficiency efforts.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide technical, analytical and administrative support and coordination for multiple programs and projects running in parallel
May be an owner of a small project/innovation effort and/or contributor to a larger initiative led by project leads
Responsible for supporting regression test of change through pre-prod environments and into production for an application development team portfolio
Coordinates status reporting and metrics identification and collection for regression team delivery to ensure upwards improvement trajectory
Responsible for regular touch-points with organization leads and managers, driving test related improvement opportunities, escalating issues and communicating updates to senior management
Responsible for near monthly release regression activities such as communications, planning and execution support
Regression test execution and automation in support of change deliverables, related process improvement and supporting ongoing team growth and development
Occasional ad-hoc and weekend production support is required
Required Skills
5+ years' experience in software development, manual and regression automation testing
BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical degree
Deep experience with backend application testing, preferably Oracle and Cassandra
Proficiency with SQL, CQL and writing Groovy Scripts using SoapUI tool; Other API tools and SOATest
Experience working in a Global Delivery Model environment leading onsite-offshore resources
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), organizational, collaboration and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies and systems
Proficiency with Core Java and object oriented development concepts with ability to develop custom Java libraries for automation
Strong experience in end to end test life cycle management using HP ALM and/or Jenkins
Highly proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Skype etc) and MS SharePoint
Working experience in end-to-end SDLC and test life cycle management using HP ALM
Desired Skills
Domain knowledge in consumer and retail banking, nice to have prior experience in Banking
Exposure to Mobile App testing is desired, preferably with SauceLabs Mobile and/or AWS
Capable proficiency with Splunk tool for issue analysis
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)
