Job Description:


Software Quality and Customer Experience Engineer

Defines quality, supportability and customer experience requirements for software product enhancements and new software products. Software products may include operating systems, storage, containers, embedded systems, product support utilities, applications and cloud services. Engages customers, account teams and support engineering and performs analysis to collect product quality and customer experience feedback and assists with management and resolution of critical quality defects.

How youll make your mark:

  • Define, evangelize and defend requirements for quality, supportability and customer experience on software products and enhancements. Software products may include operating systems, storage, containers, embedded systems, product support utilities, applications and cloud services
  • Interact with and have a good understanding of the hardware the software sits on
  • Bring product quality and customer experience feedback into the product development and sustaining processes and drive quality and supportability improvement
  • Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, Sales, Supply Chain, and Support to manage and resolve critical quality defects experienced by our customers
  • Track and analyze software quality metrics during product development to assess software quality prior to release to customers
  • Track and analyze field quality metrics to assist in the proactive identification of issues that have the potential to cause customer dissatisfaction
  • Identify and advocate for the use of software development & test best practices and tools that improve product quality
  • Assist with usability and supportability analysis and testing
  • Communicate with management, as well as internal and outsourced development partners regarding software product quality and customer experience status, improvement project progress, and issue resolution
  • Share knowledge and best practices with the team

About you:

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quality/Reliability Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • You have 4+ years strong technical background and ability to leading quality improvement projects, customer engagement and process optimization
  • You have expertise in multiple software systems design tools and languages
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You have experience with software systems development and testing methodology, Agile development methodology desired
  • You have the ability to Influence and negotiate and cross-functional communication
  • You have Lean Sigma/6 Sigma, experience with CLCA, RCA, DMAIC, FMEA, Cause & Effect Diagrams, desired
  • You have good data analysis and synthesis, experience with Python, Qlik Sense, Power BI, or PolyAnalyst desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate quality issues, improvement proposals and negotiate options at management levels

The Colorado expected salary/wage range for this position is listed immediately below, although we reserve the right to offer above this range for exceptional candidates. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may also be offered. Annual Salary: $97,100.00 - $140,900.00
