The Department
The COE team is part of the Productivity organization and has broad responsibility for identifying and driving global, cross functional process improvement opportunities using a variety of optimization techniques. The department uses Enlighten, Lean Six Sigma and other change management Improvement methods to impact benefit levers of cost, quality, and risk. Enlighten Software is a productivity tool, that focus on Productivity, Utilization & Efficiency. It analyses data to assist management in making informed decision to maximize benefits and resources.
The Specialist Role acts as a project manager in implementing Enlighten Program across EMEA/NA/APAC regions. The Specialist is expected to stay in touch with COE resources, operations resources & external contractors to develop effective project plans and tracking key milestones/risks/dependencies to achieve targeted benefits on regular intervals. .
Responsibilities:
Provides leadership with extensive business experience, broad functional expertise with focus on project priorities.
Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business leads to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
Indirectly responsible for managing multiple partners who are highly skilled in project management/ change management.
Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult.
As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team.
Operates independently and has in-depth knowledge of business unit, specific area of expertise and strong knowledge in other areas.
Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas.
Work in tandem with Business Sponsors and Stakeholders to understand business vision and objectives in order to define create and implement Enlighten / business improvements that will drive efficiencies across the Organization.
Gain in-depth knowledge of enlighten tool & rollout enlighten program to achieve organizational goals.
Develops team's goals, organizes the work, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities, and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.
Systemic approach to help an organization optimize processes to achieve more efficient results
Ensure benefit delivery as per financial and non-financial targets in individual and managed projects through effective implementation and change management
Ensure a coordinated, consistent and effective delivery and benefit measurement plan, by planning and working with business and project teams.
Understand and adapt to changing roles within the business and industry.
Promote an optimization mindset throughout the organization.
Skills/ Experience
A college or university degree is a must
Six Sigma Black Belt certification is mandatory, Master Black Belt trained or certified is an added advantage
14+ years of relevant work experience in change management, process optimization/process re-engineering, agile project management etc.
Excellent oral & written communication skills are required.
In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Knowledge of business strategy development is necessary to provide long term planning and to manage the profitability/performance of a major business segment.
Leadership, negotiation and conflict management skills.
