We are looking for a Senior Analyst who will work in our Business Insights and Analytics team, to develop reports, tools and data to research and analyze both internal and competitive insights. You will be hands-on with the data and responsible for providing insights on Content with specific emphasis on improving viewership and monetization. You will be joining a team that is focused on measuring the audience on Scripps Television networks.The ideal candidate is an expert in TV audience measurement, program research techniques and inferential statistics to recognize, design and implement projects that provide answers to questions focused on Content decisions.

What You Will Do:

  • Be hands on with television audience data and reporting

  • Knowledgeable of content / programming landscape in television

  • Apply proficiency in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to prepare viewership demographic reports and analysis

  • Maintain and extend an internal data warehouse with large datasets from various sources for powering various audience dashboards, reports and analysis emphasizing key trends

  • Design and implement quantitative analyses and predictive modeling that result in actionable solutions to assist in programming decisions for the network

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of industry trends and competitive approaches to advise programming decisions

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field

  • Must have 2-5 years of experience in audience data with previous experience in Media or Advertising

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of Nielsen systems and understanding of television ratings

  • Strong programming skills with Python, R and familiar with Java (or a similar language)

  • Experience in solving challenging business problems using computational techniques

  • Knowledge of relational database (Microsoft SQL is preferred) and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes

  • Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities with the ability to navigate large data sets is a must

  • Extremely organized and able to work proactively to manage all assigned projects

  • Able to collaborate and work effectively within a small team

  • Demonstrates a systematic approach towards collecting data from various sources

  • Diligent, diplomatic, positive, go-getter attitude
