The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Research responsible for preparing data and insights to support local station and/or national network sales and content initiatives. This position is located at the Scripps corporate office in Cincinnati or may be located at a Scripps Media, Inc. facility.


  • Prepare recurring analysis of market program audiences to support local station and/or national network sales and content initiatives

  • Develop and present printed sales collateral information for use by Sales Account Executives and management team for purpose of positioning station/network within the competitive environment

  • Provide news management with data and analysis to support content decisions

  • Provide management with data and analysis to support syndicated programming decisions

  • Lead advanced research and analysis projects; may involve collaborating with and mentoring junior analysts

  • Respond and fulfill ad hoc requests

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • BA degree in marketing, advertising or research preferred

  • Minimum 5 years media and/or TV audience-research experience

  • Experience with Wide Orbit Media Sales, Scarborough, Nielsen, comScore, Kantar, AdIntel and/or other qualitative, quantitative and competitive media data required


  • Personal computer skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word required

  • Have the ability to analyze and interpret data from a variety of sources

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal presentation skills

  • Must be well-organized

  • Must be a self-starter

  • Be able to work within a team environment
