As a DevOps Architect, you will be joining our enabler team comprised of DevOps Engineers who will be supporting your vision and carry your ideas at scale. Our primary needs are -

Evaluate our current pipeline from software development through release (including our environments and restrictions).

Identify redundant tools, practices and processes that require consolidation, elimination, or upgrades.

Establish the future state vision that our agile teams must follow to achieve the desired speed and quality.

Your responsibilities include - (aligned to our goals for 2021)

1. Define the optimal pipeline for maintaining a sustainable speed and quality from development to release.

2. Coach on engineering practices that promote future state vision (Ex: Automating deployments, Switching to Trunk-based development, etc.).

3. Experiment new techniques/approved tools and present options for migrating to the next generation of solutions to strengthen quality, security, availability and stability of our services.

4. Incorporate needs from our Security team in the DevOps pipeline, offering solutions to eliminate/mitigate security issues earlier in the development process.

5. Provide support to leadership team for establishing the changes needed.

6. Offer solutions for application teams to deploy and release (dark/live) on a frequent basis, removing any hurdles, delays and risks.

7. Articulate and address the challenges to achieving the state-of-art pipelines in service of faster feedback loops.

8. Architect solutions or promote tools that provide transparency on our backlog items from Ideas through Release (Ex: User Stories successfully built, validated in pre-prod, ready for release, etc.)

9. Promote resiliency in our delivery processes and support agile teams with the approach for frequent incremental delivery per sprint/iteration.

10. Partner with transformation leaders in prompting the right DevOps metrics and establishing objectives & key results from technology standpoint.

Skills we are seeking-

Hands-on experience in using advanced development/deployment tools across Code Repository, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Cloud technologies and Containerization

Experience applying agile practices and promoting DevOps mindset at scale.

Ability to partner and collaborate with various internal/external stake holders.

Articulate the challenges and promoting the need for change, both verbally and visually.

Experience optimizing devops strategies across a variety of technology stacks, on-prem/off-prem, Cloud, SaaS and data platforms
Experience integrating security and compliance patterns into the DevOps practice
