Position Title: Sr. Detailer - Architectural & Engineering (A&E) 5E


The Sr. Detailer A&E is responsible for the creation, implementation, maintenance, and quality assurance review of A&E deliverables for telecommunication sites. This position will also assist in the development of construction designs and layouts for various site configurations.


Essential Job Functions


  • Create and modify A&E deliverables (including equipment in the compound and antenna equipment)

  • Assist in design and detail Service Utility Drops for supplying electrical service to telecommunication sites conforming to local requirements.

  • Assist in design of electrical wiring schematics/panel schedules for telecommunication sites

  • Assist in design and perform structural detailing of mount reinforcements (other equipment structures) from engineering recommendations. Develop and maintain necessary templates used to create A&E deliverables.

  • Leads development and implementation of process efficiencies and automation.

  • Strong technical aptitude of antenna and equipment manufacturers.

  • Perform quality assurance on created A&E deliverables in accordance with standards and project requirements.

  • Provide technical guidance, training and support.

  • Drive resolution of unique/high priority design issues.

  • Perform assigned tasks within expected timeframes and proactively communicate risks as applicable

  • Serves as technical liaison between detailing and engineering groups.

Education/Certifications


  • (2) year technical degree or two (2) year college program in civil/structural design and detailing; or having equivalent experience and technical training strongly preferred

  • Four (4) year degree or training related to engineering and/or project management functions preferred

Experience/Minimum Requirement


  • Minimum of five (5) + years design experience in the A&E field

  • Knowledge of IBC, IMC, AISC Steel Construction and NEC Codes

  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD

  • Advanced knowledge of telecommunications sites and equipment required

  • Detail oriented and self-motivated

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to give direction and training to other team members

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite

  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance methods and practices.

  • Understanding of spatial relationships to resolve potential field interference issues

Working Conditions: Works in normal office setting 95% of the time, may travel to construction sites with exposure to heavy equipment. During COVID19 conditions, this role will work remotely to mitigate risk
