Primary Function of Position:

Lead's the HR PMO function to drive the alignment, implementation, and value realization of cross functional programs to land the HR strategy. Provides guidance and expertise to program and project teams, with a focus on PMO tools, templates, principles, processes, and policies. Reviews and monitors program and project status and deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the HR portfolio of programs/projects, which includes the HR portfolio roadmap of current and future programs/projects, program/project sequencing and interdependencies
  • Support prioritization of programs/projects and ensuring alignment with overall HR strategy
  • Develops and manages standard project management (PM) methodology, process and tools for HR to successfully implement strategic programs, which should include scheduling, measuring, reporting and milestone reviews.
  • Create and manage processes for program/project intake, scheduling, sequencing and resource allocation/ tracking in collaboration with global and geo leaders.
  • Establish and manage governance, cadence and forums to communicate portfolio progress, issues/risks, KPIs and ROI to stakeholder groups.
  • Ensures that resources are available in collaboration with program sponsors and leads
  • Identifies and resolves issues and risks associated with project/project dependencies, milestones, resources (i.e., financial, human, and time)
  • Facilitates issue/risk resolution across HR partnership functions (i.e. IT)
  • Build and lead the HR PMO team providing coaching and development needed to guide and ensure they are set up for success in supporting global HR strategies.
  • Manage PM workload and resources to ensure success of PM team members and functions while also ensuring support of programs/projects to progress HR strategy

Qualifications
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

  • Experience building, educating, and managing program and project lifecycle, processes, and governance forums, including risk and issue management.
  • Experience standing up, growing, and leading teams and developing individual team members.
  • Minimum 5+ years of people management and/or leadership experience
  • Ability to motivate and lead others, including those in a matrix environment.
  • Influencer, negotiator, and team player that can easily build trust and strong relationships with peers, teams, and key stakeholders
  • Highly competent and diplomatic in facilitating meetings with various functional areas represented and driving deep conversations, coalescing conflicting views, and driving quick decision making.
  • Experience developing reports and communicating progress in various forums, including to executive leadership
  • Experience with project management and portfolio level tools such as Smartsheet and Clarity required
  • Proven experience working in a matrixed environment with various teams and connecting back to a centralized center of expertise to drive consistency and alignment
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%, including internationally
  • Proven ability to successfully work in a hybrid environment
  • Minimum BA/BS degree with 10+ years of industry and project management experience.
  • Certified PM required
