Sr. Manager, Ready to Drink Strategy

Role Responsibilities
This position will report to the Senior Director, Sales Planning & Strategy with significant exposure to the Managing Director, Ready to Drink, Vice President, North American Strategy as well as Sales, Marketing, and Finance Leadership across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.

This role will drive our sales insights, strategy and strategic initiative execution inclusive of the following responsibilities:

  • Develop Beam Suntory's North American Ready to Drink Strategy
    • Support North American and Ready to Drink leadership to create the multiyear RTD strategy and roadmap to achieve near and long-term ambitions
    • Identify drivers of our business, data-driven expectations for how they will change going forward, and implications on the business
    • Guide development of channel level forecasts and develop supporting strategy that will inform executive leadership's growth objectives
    • Play key role in building product innovation and marketing excellence strategic roadmap for the Ready to Drink portfolio
    • Develop storyboards and presentations for the above projects, adapted for varying levels within the organization (e.g., RTD team vs. executive leadership)
    • Assess and design organizational structures to support a rapidly changing and growing facet of Beam Suntory's portfolio
  • Manage U.S. Route to Market design and Distributor strategy for Ready to Drink
    • Lead assessments aimed at defining key strategies for bringing RTD products to the market, and understanding nuances compared to full bottled spirits
    • Test hypotheses through analytical rigor, collaborating across the company to ensure inclusion and data integrity
    • Conduct ad hoc strategic support pertaining to distributor performance, contract adherence and standard creation, and other key distributor initiatives
  • Support M&A activity and integration within the Ready to Drink space
    • Actively lead cross-funtional activities to identify and evaluate potential expansion opportunities
    • Manage cross-functional integration efforts resulting from M&A activity

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree with concentration in business-related field; MBA preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a top tier management consulting, commercial or corporate strategy role, or investment banking
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
    • Ability to develop methodologies and execute analysis independently
    • Ability to quickly adapt and execute feedback
    • Ability to identify interesting findings within analysis and develop recommendations to redirect project focus, as needed
  • Financial modeling capabilities - understanding of basic financial principles to develop business case for recommendations
  • Understanding of product marketing fundamentals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to lead structured meetings based on findings
    • Ability to clearly / concisely synthesize findings in written communication
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with cross-functional counterparts and senior-level stakeholders
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and unstructured work situations
