The Sr Product Specialist is a critical member of the Product Line Management department. This role is responsible for delivering Rogers Must-Do results and the product lines annual and 5-year strategic plans by continually increasing the value of individual products or product families.



Essential Functions:



  1. Improves product line profitability by implementing pricing strategies and managing projects to improve product cost and competitiveness.

  2. Drives revenue by supporting Sales and Technical Service teams at new and existing customers; provides existing product solutions and identifies new product development and positioning opportunities based on voice of customer.

  3. Manages product qualifications and new product launch activities under the product development process and product or process improvements.

  4. Designs and develops product specific marketing collateral; data sheets, price lists, sell sheets, success stories, application notes. Assists with divisional marketing communication efforts such as trade shows, customer conferences, and with content for social media channels.

Required Education and Experience:

  • BS degree in STEM (Chemistry, Physics, Engineering Math, etc.) or BS degree in Business/Marketing with previous applicable experience with specialty chemical/product manufacturing

  • 3 years industry experience or industrial product marketing experience, with at least 2 years experience in technical/product management functions

  • Ability to travel internationally

  • Demonstrated ability for technical learning, business learning, customer focus, and continuous improvement

  • Strong knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred Education and Experience:



  • BS Degree in STEM (Chemistry, Physics, Engineering Math, etc.)

  • MBA w/ Marketing concentration

  • 5 years industry experience or industrial product marketing experience, with at least 2 years experience in technical function such as product development, quality, or engineering and at least 2 years experience in product management function.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead by influence in matrix organizations

  • Experience traveling internationally

  • Advanced data analysis skills; proficiency with MS Access (or other database), MS Excel (inc. power query), MS PowerBI (inc. DAX), Salesforce.com, MiniTab,
