Capstone Holdings Group Inc. Company is a NYbased talent solutions firm retained by a confidential employer—a premier international consulting firm—to identify highly skilled analysts for projectbased research engagements.
We are seeking an International Affairs Analyst to join a pool of subjectmatter experts supporting the client’s research and advisory projects. In this role, you will conduct indepth geopolitical, economic, and policy analysis, produce concise written deliverables, and provide expert insights that inform strategic decisionmaking for the client’s institutional clients.
This is a remote, parttime, projectbased opportunity. Engagements vary in scope and duration; you will be offered projects that match your expertise and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of international political, security, and economic developments in assigned regions or functional areas (e.g., trade policy, emerging markets, defense, governance).
Produce clear, datadriven reports, briefings, and presentations tailored to client requirements.
Monitor opensource intelligence (OSINT), official data, and local media to identify trends and emerging risks.
Collaborate with the client’s project teams to refine research questions and deliver actionable insights.
Participate in client calls or workshops as needed, presenting findings and supporting strategic discussions.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field.
Experience: 1 years of experience in geopolitical analysis, political risk consulting, think tanks, government agencies, or international organizations.
Core Competencies:
Analytical Excellence: Proven ability to synthesize complex geopolitical developments into structured, evidencebased analysis.
Regional or Thematic Expertise: Demonstrated depth in at least one region (e.g., AsiaPacific, MENA, Europe, Latin America) or functional area (e.g., energy security, trade policy, sanctions, defense).
Writing & Communication: Exceptional English writing skills with experience producing clientready deliverables; additional languages are a plus.
Independence: Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision, managing multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
Discretion: Ability to handle confidential client information with the highest level of professionalism.
Work Arrangement:
Availability: 5-10 hours per week on average, with flexibility to scale up during active projects.
Time Zones: Ability to accommodate core US or European business hours for team coordination.
Technology: Secure, reliable internet connection and a professional remote work setup.
