Political & Strategic Affairs Advisor–Job Overview
To analyze geopolitical trends, Indo-Pacific security dynamics, and alliance policies; to provide policy consulting; and to deliver career guidance to active-duty military personnel and veterans of the U.S. and its Indo-Pacific allies. This role helps translate military experience into civilian and defense-related employment opportunities.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
-Monitor and analyze geopolitical developments, regional security trends, and alliance relations across the Indo-Pacific.
-Provide policy consulting and strategic assessments to inform organizational planning and deliver services to beneficiaries from the United States and its Indo-Pacific allies.
-Deliver career transition counseling to military personnel from the U.S. and its Indo-Pacific allies, including skills translation, employment trend analysis, and defense-sector career opportunities.
-Prepare analytical briefings, reports, and guidance covering international security landscapes and veteran employment ecosystems.
-Inform program design by integrating broader geopolitical and security context into actionable career pathways for veterans.
-Research relevant laws, policies, and industry trends affecting veteran employment and professional mobility.
-Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance the quality and impact of career support and transition-readiness services.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree or higher in International Relations, Political Science, National Security, Public Policy, or a related field.
-Demonstrated experience in geopolitical analysis, defense policy, political risk assessment, or veteran transition consulting.
-Working knowledge of military structures, occupational skills, and civilian career translation frameworks applicable to the U.S. and its Indo-Pacific allies.
-Familiarity with Indo-Pacific security alliances, regional political dynamics, and defense industry landscapes.
-Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills; ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights.
-Background in career counseling, employment consulting, or veteran support services is highly desirable.
-Active-duty or veteran status from the U.S. or an Indo-Pacific allied nation is a strong preference.
-Professional proficiency in English; fluency in additional languages is an advantage.
-Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information with the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality.
