The Supply Chain Analyst provides analytical, process and system support and development for the demand planning and integration team. They use a balance of business, analytical and process management skills to support monthly/yearly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), ad hoc financial planning, demand planning and other strategic supply chain initiatives. This individual will work cross-functionally to help develop and design reports and identify areas for improvement.
Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).
1. Provides overall S&OP process support that includes creating new/continuously improving existing standard S&OP reports, managing/modifying standard MFP database, providing user system support and training, building yearly financial plan models, managing high level system analysis and over-rides. Serves as business-side system administrator and liaison with IT for user setups and system issues.
2. Manages and continuously improve S&OP background support processes. Assists in the design and creation reports/tools to help merchants and planners better understand and account for demand shifts due to event changes, delivery issues, etc.; and assisting with background data moves and updates. Identifies areas of improvement and works with cross-functional teams to deliver targets. Continuously improve by streamlining and automating manual processes and adapting the S&OP process as the business and demand planning tools evolve. Must possess technical skills needed to perform duties or have the ability to learn new system quickly.
3. Provides analytical and background system support for demand planning and forecasting. This includes ad hoc analysis of forecasts and forecast accuracy, loading system forecast updates and over-rides, and participating on project teams for demand planning system and process improvements.
4. Provides ongoing analytical and project support for other inventory management and integrated supply chain related projects. This may include inventory optimization, supply chain network planning or similar projects.
Education & Experience
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years of experience, preferably in Finance, Logistics, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or Inventory.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Demand/Inventory Planning Systems.
Data querying and manipulation using Access/Excel/SQL. Business Objects report writing very helpful.
