The Impact Youll Make in this Role

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Create/maintain process SOPs
  • Drive improvements utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Lead process to identify gaps and develop procedures to ensure end-to-end processing of GCS global sourcing orders in CCSOs, ZPTOs and ZOR/bolt-ons (COMS/Peoplesoft).
  • Managing global sourcing process both legacy (COMS/Peoplesoft) and ERP CCSOs and interim ZPTOs, requiring coordination of multiple workgroups within 3M such as division, global subsidiaries, transportation/logistics, tax, finance, credit, and BT product groups such as FTS/ICO/LEX/GTS/RTR/OTC, etc.
    • Execute vendor setup, new account ship-to setup, SKU/material master data setup
    • Enter/manage complex global orders through corporate legacy and ERP systems such as PeopleSoft, COMS, Horizon, SAP, SIS, etc.
    • Manage transportation/delivery of orders to customer
  • Leads projects, linking project steps to business strategies. Ensures plans support business needs and goals and that project objectives and deadlines are met. Assembles and leads project teams. Presents project recommendations to appropriate personnel that demonstrate sound planning in support of business needs and goals
  • Handles a wide variety of non-routine and difficult inquiries where the solution is not immediately apparent. Most complex problem solving may require developing solutions for complex and diverse issues that may be interrelated, requiring significant interpretation and the use of strong analytical skills
  • Ensures legal compliance with import/export regulations; responsible for the transportation of goods, either directly or through external agencies; monitors the progress of key projects with supply sites and resolves any issues
  • Analyzes efficiency of movement of materials and products within and outside the company; recommends changes; conducts supply chain, warehouse, etc. analyses and provides specific recommendations and actions to management

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of Supply Chain experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Experience analyzing data with Excel and Access databases
  • Project leadership experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain and/or Business Administration from an accredited institution
  • Possess APICS certification Five (5) years of Supply Chain experience
  • Experience leading and working with cross-functional teams
  • SAP systems experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Data Analytical Skills
  • Supply Chain/DC Operations/Customer Facing Experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt trained

Travel: May include up to 5%
