The Impact Youll Make in this Role
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:



  • Leading the Supply Chain team by establishing effective, integrated supply chain processes within the manufacturing site, which includes objective setting, performance management, and motivating, as well as training and coaching.

  • Supporting your team in identifying, defining, and implementing process improvements to supply chain process across multiple departments and partnering with product managers and business teams to ensure appropriate response to changing business conditions

  • Creating solutions and resolving issues between demand management contacts and manufacturing/logistics as well as ensuring volume forecasts are available/accurate for supply chain forecasting

  • Collaborating with Division and Business Group partners to lead, optimize, and cultivate continuous improvement of Supply Chain Operations

  • Managing environmental, health and safety (EHS) and material flow improvements throughout the facility



Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:



  • Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Seven (7) years of experience in a private, public, government, or military environment in one or more of the following areas: logistics, supply chain, manufacturing plant operations, manufacturing engineering, EHS, and/or quality

  • Experience supervising and/or managing direct reports in a manufacturing environment



Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:



  • Masters Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering

  • Experience with data management systems (e.g. ERP, SAP)

  • Certification in one or more of the following areas: APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society), CPIM or CSCP, Lean Six Sigma

  • 5 or more years of warehouse operations and logistics experience

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry (pharmaceutical, medical device, etc.)



Travel: May include up to 5%



Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
