POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Site Manager, the nasal swabber/collector will provide service to patients, maintain their facility, and follow directives. All BioReference policies will be followed for Privacy and OSHA for safety in the work Environment.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES
Duties may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
1. Arrives at scheduled time. 2. Calls Site Manager a minimum of two hours before start time if nasal swabber/collector cannot report to work. 3. Clocks in and out daily (including lunchtime). 4. Greets patients in professional, courteous manner. 5. Records (performs) daily temperatures, decontamination, and centrifuge maintenance and any corrective actions. 6. Completes work in a timely manner. 7. Maintains a clean & safe work environment. 8. Maintains supply inventory (verifies no expired media) 9. Wears approved scrubs provide and appropriate footwear. 10. Wears appropriate PPE during specimen collection and Processing. 11. Responds positively to changes in workload as needed. 12. Verifies patient identification and insurance be I' plac.ing a Lab order and collecting specimens. 13. Verifies all tests ordered for tube and storage requirements. 14. Completes all required demographic qata n.requisilions. 15. Labels all specimens with the required information. 16. Contacts Client to retrieve any missi 1g d ta. 17. Nasal swabber/collector understa d <:9mpliance protocols and (PHI/HIPAA) 18. Understands and complies w'th OSH and DEP regulations regarding barrier protection, sharps disposal, hazardous waste 4isp0sal (retaining manifests), and proper specimen transport. 19. Completes annual training and completes continuing education training. 20. Maintains training documents and competency assessments evaluations on site. 21. Notifies their Site Manager ofany incidents or issues immediately. 22. Understands patient adverse reactions protocols. 23. Follows proper incident procedures in the event of an accident, specimen breakage, specimen spill, and patient injury. 24. Reviews outlook throughout the day for any new corporate emails that may include operational updates /Memos when provided by the Site Manager. 25. Reviews and signs corporate emails/Memos

26. Collects anterior nares swabs for professional clientele 27. Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures 28. Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the anterior nares swabbing.

1. Light work of lifting and/or carrying objects less than 25 pounds 2. Responsible for occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects 3. Frequent contact with water (hand washing and cleaning), biohazardous body fluids, and hazardous chemicals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. 2. Phlebotomy certificate preferred. 3. Minimum 5 years Phlebotomy experience preferred. 4. Basic computer skills. 5. Good written and verbal communication skills. 6. Ability to work in a team environment. 7. Problem solving skills.
