Responsibilities

The individual selected for this position will support a Program Management Office (PMO) within the Sponsor's Information Technology Enterprise. The PMO seeks a responsive, resourceful, and efficient individual to provide project management support for major enterprise initiatives. Specifically, the PMO is looking for someone with strong programmatic skills to manage deployment/integration activities for Platform as a Service (PaaS)/Software as a Service (SaaS) for the enterprise. The project manager must have strong communication and interpersonal and tracking and monitoring skills.

The project manager is responsible for assisting the PMO front office to manage activities/tasks through the entire project life cycle to include defining and managing customer requirements, developing, and managing schedules and costs, identifying, and managing risks, briefing project status, and working with service provider partner teams. This position regularly interfaces with office level leadership and reports to Senior Program Management Office Leadership. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Serves as the project manager for an enterprise integration projects and shall work with the Government's authorized representative and customer agency representatives.
  • Under the guidance of the PMO lead, the candidate is responsible for the overall management of IT Projects and ensuring that the technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Performs enterprise-wide horizontal integration planning and interfaces to other functional systems.
  • Plans and manages multiple projects and/or task orders involving complex information systems platform/software development.
  • Performs day-to-day management of the project and develops long-term and strategic objectives to ensure that end user requirements will be satisfied.
  • Make independent decisions that deal with the daily schedule and work to be accomplished.
  • Lead/facilitate technical exchange meetings with internal/external stakeholders on business and technical requirements needed by the Enterprise service offerings.
  • The prioritization of projects and the daily schedule of the PMs are determined by the lead.
  • Consults and coordinates with the PMO for problem resolution, task scheduling, new resource requirements, training needs, and task clarification.
  • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate activities such as on-boarding, programming, and systems design, development of applications, and engaging in technical exchange meetings with the customers.
  • Provide Weekly Status reports for leadership to share with senior executives across the Sponsor's partners.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Must pay attention to project details.
  • Knowledge of rules of governance and project methodologies like Agile and Project Management Framework.
  • Knowledge of or prior experience with Platform as a Service (PaaS)/Software as a Service (SaaS) integration and/or deployment as part of an Enterprise service.
  • Customer and Quality Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer-needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Critical thinking by using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Coordination by modifying actions in relation to others' actions.
  • Monitoring/Assessing performance of to make improvements or take corrective action. Education
  • BS 12-15, MS 10-13. Phd 10+
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experiences of related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training, and certifications.
  • Clearance TS/SCI W POLY
  • PMP certification is preferred but not required.
