Position Overview





We are searching for a dynamic and imaginative Talent Acquisition Manager who is strategically focused on driving business results with an aggressive desire for excellence. This individual embodies a can-do and collaborative spirit and is committed to finding the best talent to add to our Americas Materials division.





The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting, including recruiting, screening, and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (both internal and external.) Responsible for all facets of recruiting throughout assigned region. This position will work closely with other Talent Acquisition Managers and other Human Resources team members, and local management to develop recruiting plans and sourcing strategies, fill vacancies in a timely manner, and design processes to attract, hire, and retain qualified employees. This position is also responsible for educating and training personnel on pertinent recruiting processes and systems.



This role assists the America Materials South Division regarding talent acquisition related activities starting with initial recruitment and continuing through to the on-boarding process up to Day 1. This role reports directly to the Director, Talent Acquisition and can be a virtual / home-based role. Priority will be placed on candidates living in States where we have larger facilities: Texas, Tennessee and North Carolina.





Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • For the assigned market area focusing mainly on the Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina and Gulf Coast markets, in cooperation with key functional hiring managers, establish and validate recruiting requirements by assessing and reviewing organizational needs. Determine applicant requirements by analyzing job descriptions, job qualifications and established company policies. Create and update job descriptions as needed.

  • Oversee full lifecycle hiring and onboarding processes from job requisition creation, posting, screening, interviewing, offer acceptance to employee start date.

  • Fully proficient with applicant tracking software (SuccessFactors) and function as Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing support in all aspects to include troubleshooting, reporting, providing user advice, acting as liaison with HR or any other entities, and conducting individualized or group training.

  • Assess applicant qualifications by screening applicant documentation, interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and verifying applicant-provided information comparing qualifications to job requirements. Following applicant assessment, make a decision regarding candidate fit, and refer for next level interviews.

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies by determining and implementing appropriate sourcing solutions that include but are not limited to:
    • Direct candidate engagements anywhere where valued candidates may be present; job fairs, self-sponsored or partner-sponsored, open houses, etc. local networks such as educational including high schools, tech schools, community colleges; exiting military; community and minority groups; traditional job posting and all possible technology-based solutions; all forms of media including radio and social media; and, staffing and contingent workforce agencies.

  • Performs to recruiting performance KPI's, assess recruiting effectiveness, determine appropriate improvement solutions and report results to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Determine and develop stakeholder recruitment-related training needs and conduct relevant training.

  • Assist applicants with the execution of applicant-related documents developed via the online applicant tracking system.

  • Works with HR Partners to identify internal talent through internal slates and assess qualifications against business needs and available external talent.

  • Ensures presentation of diverse candidate slates for consideration and identifies strategic approaches for sourcing diverse talent of all backgrounds. Directly leads or assists plant HR Managers and other HR professionals in utilizing talent acquisition channels to find and effectively recruit and on-board talent.

  • Develops inter-industry networks to find talent, prospectively recruiting talent and investigating potential industry talent pools in order to meet short- and long-term demand.

  • Manages onboarding programs and systems in coordination with other HR areas and functional departments, ensuring that new employees are completely satisfied with their decision to join Americas Materials.

  • Assists with the branding of Americas Materials division from a talent acquisition perspective.


Other Requirements



  • Other Extensive knowledge of talent acquisition related HR practices.

  • Experience with Labor Market and Industry specific data utilization.

  • Other Skills needed include human resources management, planning, decision making, influencing, negotiation, organization, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills.

  • Other Ability to use computer programs to input, store, and retrieve data as well as to generate reports and documentation which provide insightful, detailed information about the talent acquisition function.

  • Ability to travel to various sites when regular business travel resumes.


Experience



  • 7 plus years of Recruiting experience, with at least 3 years of corporate recruitment and a focus on sourcing passive candidates

  • Demonstrated experience recruiting technical roles and functional area roles, ranging from early career to highly experienced candidates

  • Strong interviewing skills and demonstrated mastery of behavioral interviewing

  • Proven experience developing and implementing diversity recruiting strategies

  • Must possess strong business acumen and the ability to develop a deep understanding of strategic business priorities, success drivers in the organization, and understanding of the business model and functional operations

  • Strong process orientation and detailed analytic capabilities

  • Ability to influence and interact with all levels of employees to establish and develop collaborative partnerships


Licenses and Certifications



  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP (Preferred)

Education



  • Bachelor's Degree in human resource management, management, business administration or related area of concentration
