Job Description

The Department of Civil, Environmental, and Ocean Engineering (CEOE) at Stevens Institute of Technology (https://www.stevens.edu/schaefer-school-engineering-science/departments/civil-environmental-ocean-engineering) seeks applicants for a teaching faculty position. This position is part of a major emphasis on urban infrastructure systems in CEOE at Stevens. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a key player in the departments civil and construction engineering programs.

This is a non-tenure track position at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor with a path to promotion and progressively longer contracts. Teaching faculty support the departments mission of excellence in education, service, and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

We seek applicants who are passionate about teaching civil and construction engineering and management courses to undergraduate and graduate students in an inclusive environment. Responsibilities will include teaching three courses per semester, coordination of course offerings with other instructors, and participation in department, school, and university and in professional service.

Required Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in civil engineering, construction engineering or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • A record of pedagogical accomplishments and leadership in relation to graduate or undergraduate education
  • Experience in advising undergraduate and masters level students
