Job Description

The Washington Post is looking for a reporter to help readers understand how technology defines the workplace.

A key focus of the role will be cybersecurity. We also are seeking someone who can cover the impact of robotics, artificial intelligence and remote technologies on the corporate landscape. This writer should examine how the global pandemic has intensified our reliance on technology in the paid economy.

This reporter should be able to write FAQs, how-to guides and explanatory pieces. Essential to our personal technology coverage is putting the user, more than the technology, at the center of a story.The ideal candidate must be quick and creative, with conversational writing skills and a knack for explaining complex ideas in accessible ways.We are looking for someone who seeks to be part of the news cycle and canemploy a variety of storytelling techniques to engage our readers.

This position can be based in our Washington or San Francisco newsroom. Once we resume normal operations, it will not be eligible for remote work.
