Location: Portland, Oregon



Duration: Full Time only - "Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.).





The annual salary for this position is between $(100,000 - 115,000) depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.



This position is also eligible for Cognizants discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizants applicable plans.

Job Description and Qualifications include:





  • Required:

    • Primary Skill TIBCO Infrastructure Support in Linux & TIBCO Administration





      Essential responsibilities:




    • Install, configures and maintains the TIBCO and other ESB product environments, including recommending, planning for, and applying updates, maintenance packs, patches, and fixes to all environments. Performs periodic check of the platform, providing a report of the health of the platform.


    • Works closely with developers, support, DBA, Network, and QA teams to design and optimize all EBS environments.

    • Prepares scripts to automate administration tasks

    • Determines standards for server configuration

    • Works with the application development teams in designing and implementing ESB software solutions

    • Responsible for the ownership of assigned environment administration tasks on projects

    • Responsible for off hours releases of all code and configuration changes to QA and Production environments

    • Passionate support and ownership of all areas under their responsibility

    • Effectively develops timelines for themselves and others to perform tasks and influences the teams work to be completed within those timeframes

    • Participates in a 24x7 on-call support as needed.

    • Must effectively categorize support problems and respond with the appropriate level of urgency

    • Developing and promoting standard operations documentation such as procedures, checklists, and instructions

    • System capacity planning

    • Providing 2nd and 3rd level administrative/engineer support

    • Train Junior staff ,create documentation and handover of artefacts .



    • Qualifications and requirements


    • Ability to perform product administration responsibly to ensure the platform is stable for application access, performance, security and back-up/recovery

    • Ability to perform system patching, upgrades, environment refreshes, configuration and new installations

    • Experience managing a highly available application environment

    • Understanding of Linux, Solaris Clustering concepts

    • Understanding of infrastructure domains such as storage, networking, and security

    • Strong working knowledge of enterprise integration architecture and enterprise application integration

    • 10+ years of technology experience in a business environment preferred

    • 10+ years experience as ESB administrator required, Tibco preferred

    • 5+ years development experience with an integration discipline, preferred

    • Administration knowledge of Tibco Products

    • Knowledge of API Gateway technologies

    • A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred

    • Excellent client facing communication skills

    • Experience in the following


    • Excellent hands experience as TIBCO administration, Create TIBCO EMS objects (topic, queue, bridge), Configure RV, Hawk components. Administrates users and roles.

    • Hands on with creating PGP Keys, Certificates

    • Administration of ESB service environments, Tibco Business Works and RV preferred

    • ESB monitoring tools, Tibco Hawk preferred

    • SOAP, JMS, and SOA development

    • XML concepts, frameworks, and standards

    • DevOps,

    • IBM Mainframe Oracle X.x SQL Server 2012

    • Java, XML, HTML, preferred

    • PowerShell scripting, preferred

    • Automation using CI/CD tools and concepts

  • Education
    • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

    • Should be self-motivated, self-starter with clear communication skills who thrives working in a team environment
