About the Opportunity

The Unified Communication Team has an immediate opening for a Voice Engineer, reporting to the Manager-IT.

Job Summary:

  • Provides support for the architecture, hardware/software maintenance, stability and security for the Unified Communication voice system and supporting applications.
  • The position provides best practice support, change management, configuration management, business continuity and disaster recovery management for all applications supported by the Unified Communications Voice Team.
  • Candidates should have a foundation with IT technologies including the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Hardware/Software and the ability to troubleshoot and support the infrastructure and end user incidents. The candidate should also have a working knowledge of network technologies and protocols.
  • Candidate should have a proven history of learning and supporting new technologies and a track record of customer support and incident management.

What You Will Do:
  • Support telephony infrastructure and supporting applications, including IP-PBXs, Cisco Unity voice mail, and IR Prognosis monitoring system.
  • Implement, maintain and support the telephony infrastructure, including upgrades, patching, security vulnerabilities, and troubleshooting.
  • Support end user onboarding and offboarding for Unified Communication applications.
  • Support end users, and district and National IT partners in troubleshooting incidents and communicating maintenance and support activities.
  • Works with the UC engineers on projects for Unified Communications initiatives, planning technology roadmaps, configuring and optimizing all voice systems and services.
  • Remains current on new Unified Communications technologies, including protocols, products, and standards in support of current and future UC applications.
  • Adheres to organizational policies and procedures such as change management and security / vulnerability management.
  • Prepares and updates technical documentation; ensures non-technical decision makers understand technical matters.
  • Reachable outside of standard working hours for both on call and general system support as needed.
  • Adheres to timelines, budgets and milestones while paying close attention to detail and deliverables
  • Performs all tasks and duties in a manner that supports the Bank's objective to provide high quality customer service. Must meet or exceed the service and quality performance standards and/or objectives for the assigned function.
  • Fulfills job duties and responsibilities in conformance with sound safety practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 5 years' experience working in a technical environment supporting applications and/or customer technology inquiries.
  • Strong engineering capabilities with the ability to research and learn new technologies, perform maintenance and operational duties, and effectively troubleshoot issues in a high stress environment.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux environment in an Enterprise environment...
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and able to work independently to resolve technical challenges.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure technologies, such as DHCP, DNS, LLDP, etc...
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to balance multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of management, local and national support staff, customers, and external vendors.
  • Occasional travel within the continental US.
  • Must be willing to be in on-call rotation and offer weekend and out-of-hours support as needed.
