About this Position:

The Unit Lead-Internal & Executive Communication, for Honda North American Corporate Communications, coordinates strategy and vision for all North American internal communications effectively and creatively informing Honda associates of global and North American region business direction and encouraging associate engagement with Honda. This position acts as editor-in-chief for the companys intranet, and coordinates internal communication across the region, including management of the North American internal communications team.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee executive communications, including leadership meetings, associate town hall meetings, CEO video messages, and other strategic internal communications.


• Serve as lead for coordinating HR regional communications.


• Maintain editorial oversight of Hondas intranet, including content planning, development and editing.


• Manage NA internal communications team, including weekly coordination with all NA internal communicators.


• Identify trends and develop strategic initiatives to continually improve internal communications.


• Perform leadership duties, including maintaining budget & developing associates.

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

• Minimum 8-10 years of Corporate Communications or PR agency experience.


• Minimum 5 years of experience in employee communications and knowledge of best practices

Required Education:

• Bachelors Degree or greater in Communications, PR, Journalism, or related field

Desired skills:

• Extensive knowledge of employee communications and strategies


• Experience with content management systems and managing internal communications channels, including intranet, mobile app, and digital displays


• Strong writing, verbal and editing skills


• Detail-oriented and organized, capable of problem-solving and remaining calm under pressure


• Proficiency in SharePoint, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Excel


• Some knowledge of video editing

• Workstyle: Hybrid (On-site1 day a week)


• Travel: 5%
