Position Overview

We are looking for a talented, self-motivated project/operations minded person to drive resource planning, schedule forecasting, internal billing, and manage key User Experience team initiatives, as a part of the Diebold Nixdorf UX team to help us be more data-driven as we grow our UX organization and our influence within the company.

This role will be an integral member of our UX team, however it is not a traditional designer role. While a passion for being a part of a team that will deliver great experiences to our customers is important, we are looking for someone with project management and operations skills and an understanding consulting services who can help us drive to a more efficient and effective use of our resources and skills. This role will also help to run and see to completion UX team initiatives.

You are responsible for

  • Project cost and schedule forecasting, time entry and time approval for UX team resources assigned to all projects. Maintaining and tracking all information in company and UX team Project Management systems.
  • Developing project plan with UX and internal stakeholders including schedule, specific responsibilities of each project team member, deliverables and terms of acceptance, etc.
  • Coordinating UX team members on key UX initiatives (e.g., user-centered design education, team case studies creation, and design guidelines and resources available to the company.
  • Solicits formal customer feedback on satisfaction with the quality of the services delivered
  • Tracking and documenting our efforts and success across multiple projects
  • Coordinating research projects (recruiting, scheduling, and facilities as appropriate)
  • Creates timely, accurate, and complete project reports for UX organization
  • Working closely with the UX Director to implement and manage key UX team initiatives within Diebold and with our clients
  • Interfacing with other project management roles and software development process teams
  • Interfacing with product team product owners and others who control project budgets
  • Interfacing with Professional Services resources and software engineering organizations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Business, Project Management or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in project management and/or project coordination for system integration or professional services programs
  • Past experience in delivering professional services such as consulting, system implementation, software support, network design or installation, etc.
  • Experience with an agency service model desired but not required
  • Experience working in a design field in any role desired, but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written customer communication skills
  • Ability to utilize project management tools, such as Gantt charts, PERT charts, OBS, RBS and WBS
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills. Ability to make quick decisions based on logic and fact gathering.
  • Strong multi-tasking capability. Must be able to handle more than one project and/or task in unison.
  • Ability to act in an autonomous role
  • Flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-changing deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize as workload changes.
  • Conscientiousness with consistent follow-through on projects.
  • Advanced organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • The ability to correspond independently with team leaders
  • Experience working in cross-functional/international project teams.
  • Self-motivation, resourcefulness and a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned or required
