Position Summary:

Come join our team as we transform F5 into our next stage of growth. The NGINX solutions are part of this strategy, as we expand our product lines into software and SaaS and head into new markets like the public cloud. To accelerate this journey were looking for product and digital marketing to be at the core of our go-to-market efforts. As we drive toward this end, we are looking for full-stack marketing experts who have a stellar track record of results, outstanding business acumen and a firm belief that building trust and doing the right thing is just as important as the results themselves.

This specific position is a meaningful role responsible for developing and implementing F5 company initiatives through leading NGINX product marketing, technical marketing, content operations, digital strategies and oversight of NGINX field marketing, marketing operations, creative, and web functions. As a senior leader in the marketing organization, you will be responsible for messaging and positioning NGINX products and services, establishing performance marketing campaigns, influencing the martech strategy, and partnering with product, engineering, and sales leadership in establishing the NGINX go-to-market strategy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive NGINX revenue marketing goals, through digital, field, and account-based marketing efforts
  • Help drive digital transformation of customer experience, establishing trial, web, and download experiences for NGINX products and services
  • Launch new products and services developed by the NGINX product group, as well as update and maintain content on existing products and services
  • Ensure sales and partners are enabled on the latest NGINX products and services
  • Lead effort to maintain performance-based digital marketing within the product group
  • Establish NGINX as a brand within the F5 portfolio, setting the bar as an incredible draw for both customers and strong employee talent
  • Maximize marketing investments across all channels, customer segments and geographies
  • Collaborate with dedicated creative studio resources to respond to the agile needs of our business and deliver results
  • Serve as the glue and coordination point for cross-functional customer programs and initiatives that deliver incredible results
  • Develop the necessary metrics to evaluate project performance against expectations.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with industry contacts.
  • Facilitate and lead discussions and meetings with internal and external business and technical resources.
  • Uphold F5s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.


  • Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of marketing leadership experience.
  • Deep understanding of NGINX technologies and customer requirements for NGINX solutions
  • Experience translating complex product value propositions into technical and business benefits
  • Recognized leader for driving excellent financial results while building a trusting and positive work environment.
  • Shown ability to lead and influence teams in a matrix run environment.
  • Proven ability to partner and collaborate across key functional areas such as sales, IT and product.
  • Extraordinary experience in establishing metrics and dashboards that enable core focus on performance across the organization (especially in partnership with sales)
  • Technical acumen related to digital customer experiences
  • Strong industry affiliations and relationships
  • Understanding of the critical success factors to get results selling cloud-based technology
  • Great ability to attract and retain talent
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and model data to drive revenue generation efforts
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, with strong presentation skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
  • Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 10% of the time spent traveling.
