YOUR ROLE The Vice President Walmart, Beauty Retail is responsible for setting strategy, growing revenue and profitability and leading the execution of sales initiatives to ensure the achievement of Henkel Beauty branded products within Walmart. This position is responsible for promoting effective customer relationships, partnering with key individuals at all levels within the customer organization, gaining a full understanding of the customer's needs, anticipating changes in the business environment, and further establishing Henkel Beauty as a strategic leader in the eyes of the customer. This Vice President has organizational responsibility for a team of four direct reports, and four indirect reports. This individual is also responsible for managing retail execution through one retail service organization. The Vice President Walmart collaborates cross-functionally with the Henkel Beauty management team to establish a growth platform, identifying business opportunities, setting and communicating priorities, and coordinating appropriate resources to achieve desired results.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish clear vision, strategies and goals and objectives for the Walmart team cross-functional team. Create an environment that fosters communication, collaboration, coordination, and productivity
  • Oversee and direct the activities of the Walmart sales team in the successful attainment of all planned sales & profit objectives. Foster a cohesive account team with responsibility and the authority to achieve goals, as well as holding each member accountable for the attainment of those goals.
  • Develop a customer-centric culture that is solutions-based and exploits new market opportunities.
  • Hire, train, develop, and inspire top sales talent to support the strategic needs of the organization and ensure the successful attainment of all sales objectives and company initiatives
  • Design and drive best-in-class account management process and practice to drive consistency.
  • Establish and communicate to the Henkel Beauty' leadership team a clear vision and strategy to deliver incremental and profitable sales.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop partnerships with other key disciplines to ensure company resources are focused to maximize marketplace opportunities.
  • Develop execute and evaluate sales promotion plans, utilization of market development funds and merchandising ideas while ensuring execution, review and tracking of all plans.

  • Excellent transformational leadership abilities and knowledge to create a win-win situation with Henkel Beauty and Walmart.
  • Ability to interpret data to identify problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to create a successful business plan.

  • Exceptional sales skills including negotiation, account management, account penetration, strategic selling, category management and leading-edge sales strategies.

  • Strong strategic and tactical skills and an ability to solve problems and set priorities.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving tough, demanding goals.
  • Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to adjust style to effectively interact with external customers and internal staff.
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
