Job Description:
This job is responsible for overseeing the Operations team and ensuring they meet deadlines, execute, and coordinate tasks. Key responsibilities include supporting continuous business improvements, reviewing operations procedures, implementing changes, ensuring adherence to operations procedures, providing guidance to employees, handling exception requests, and referring more complex problems to a senior manager. Job expectations include having an awareness of foundational operations and familiarity in a specific product line.
Key Objectives:
- To ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of all payment transactions, including local, cross-border, and internal transfer.
- To maintain high standards of operational control and minimize processing errors through diligent checking and verification.
- To support reconciliation, exception handling and resolution of payment related discrepancies.
- To collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Treasury, IT, Compliance and Client Service) to ensure smooth and efficient payment operations.
- To maintain high levels of accuracy and control to minimize operational risk and errors.
- To maintain adherence to internal procedures, regulatory requirements and AML/CFT standards during payment execution.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all job processes within Payments Operations are performed timely and accurately as per Service Level Agreement, in accordance to the bank's internal procedure/policy as well as local regulations.
- Ensure that all outstanding items that require follow up actions (NSF, OFAC and etc.) are resolved timely and accurately.
- Review various production reports (overdraft, exception, past due, reconciliation reports an etc.) promptly.
- Escalate problems or issues urgently.
- Support preparation of internal and external reports as required.
- Support remediation, process change and/or business process improvement - ensure their timely adoption.
- Support update of contingency plans, and tests.
- Support management of resources - human, process, system - to optimize productivity, service and quality.
