The AI Solution Architect defines solution architecture for enterprise AI initiatives and guides teams through secure, scalable, and compliant implementation patterns. The role translates business needs into architecture decisions covering applications, data, models, integration, security, operations, and governance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create target-state and solution architecture for AI use cases, including application, data, integration, security, operational, and deployment views.
- Define and review reusable architecture patterns for LLM-enabled applications, RAG, AI agents, workflow automation, and model consumption.
- Partner with cybersecurity, privacy, data, platform, and governance teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards and regulatory expectations.
- Assess technology options, identify risks, document decisions, and guide delivery teams through architecture governance.
- Support vendor and platform evaluations, design reviews, technical discovery, and implementation planning.
- Contribute to architecture standards, reference patterns, and design documentation for enterprise AI capabilities.
Education: University or College education in Computer Science, Engineering, Data/Analytics, Business/Technology, Risk/Governance, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
Experience and skills:
- Experience in solution architecture, application architecture, cloud architecture, or enterprise technology design.
- Strong understanding of Azure, APIs, integration patterns, identity, data platforms, application security, and operational readiness.
- Working knowledge of LLM-enabled applications, RAG, AI agents, model risk considerations, AI governance, and responsible AI controls is preferred.
- Ability to produce clear architecture artifacts and communicate design trade-offs to both technical and business audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, documentation, and decision-making skills.
