Description
Your roleRoles within our Asset Management talent pipeline are broad and skills driven. Depending on your background and expertise, you will work within global investment teams across areas such as:
• Indexed portfolio management and investment decision making through analysis, data and actionable insights
• working with portfolios, financial instruments and market data across asset classes
• applying quantitative, analytical or portfolio engineering skills to improve how investments are implemented and monitored
• order generation and trade execution, working with 3rd parties and external platforms where relevant
• trade execution across multiple sectors and instruments, spanning primary and secondary markets, with accountability for best execution outcomes
• contributing to the day-to-day running and continuous improvement of the global investments platform

UBS Asset Management is one of the world's leading investment managers, with a global platform across major financial hubs including London, Zurich, New York and Singapore.
Poland plays an increasingly important role within this platform. What began as a location focused on operational and support activities has evolved into a fully integrated hub, now our third-largest Asset Management location globally.
Unlike traditional offshore models, our teams in Kraków and Wroclaw are embedded in front-office workflows and work closely with global investment teams across asset classes. They directly support the implementation of portfolios, mandates, and customized client solutions, with exposure across the full investment lifecycle. Our teams contribute across a wide range of investment disciplines, including portfolio support, quantitative research, investment content preparation, and business management.
As the platform continues to grow, responsibilities and opportunities continue to expand, reflecting the strategic importance of our Poland hub within UBS Asset Management.
Your expertise
We're looking for early-career professionals (up to 5 years of relevant experience) and experienced candidates (5+ years of relevant experience) who are passionate about investing. Required skills and experience include:
• Portfolio Management specific:
- experience in investments or asset management, particularly index Equity, index Fixed Income or index Multi-Asset portfolio management, with a good understanding of financial markets and instruments,
- experience monitoring portfolios, including performance attribution, and maintaining models to ensure compliance with the investment and risk guidelines,
• Trade Execution specific:
- experience in trading across different asset classes and sectors, with a strong understanding of market structures, liquidity dynamics, and price formation,
- experience of OMS/EMS platforms, electronic trading, and transaction cost analysis methodologies, with established relationships across dealer and electronic market ecosystems,
• Overall
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and exercise sound judgment
- professional certifications such as CFA or local investment licenses, completed or in progress, are a strong asset
- interest and experience of using technology to improve investment processes; coding skills are an advantage
- strong communication skills and fluent English, with the ability to work effectively in a global environment
- excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy under pressure, with a strong risk management discipline
- a collaborative, curious and adaptable mindset, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

This position is recruited in anticipation of the firm obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals and authorizations to conduct regulated asset management activities. Any employment relationship and the commencement of regulated duties will be conditional upon the successful completion of the applicable regulatory approval process. Until such approvals are obtained, the timing and scope of the role may be adjusted in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
