Job Description:
Full-time hybrid role supporting AML Onboarding BAU and change-management initiatives.
The role is responsible for completing AML/CDD activities across new client onboarding, client expansion and data maintenance in accordance with applicable country standards and CIP/CDD procedures. The role also leads or supports AML process transformation and project delivery, including impact assessments, requirements gathering, stakeholder coordination, implementation and change adoption.
The successful candidate will manage complex onboarding cases, identify process improvement opportunities and work across Operations, Global Financial Crimes, Technology, Sales and Client Outreach to deliver controlled and sustainable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform end-to-end AML/CDD onboarding for complex and higher-risk clients across multiple Asian jurisdictions, including document gap analysis, system enrichment and enhanced due diligence.
- Review information obtained from client documentation, internal systems, public sources and approved vendors to identify and resolve AML/CDD requirements.
- Partner with Sales, Client Coverage, Global Financial Crimes and other stakeholders to obtain and validate documentation, resolve complex cases and manage escalations.
- Act as an AML subject-matter expert, providing guidance on jurisdictional requirements and supporting the development of less experienced team members.
- Lead or manage AML change, AI transformation and process-improvement initiatives, including requirements gathering, impact assessment, process design, implementation and change adoption.
- Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies and action logs, ensuring timely delivery and appropriate escalation of issues.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise or automate AML processes while maintaining effective risk management and controls.
- Produce and analyse business, risk and project metrics to monitor performance, identify trends and support management decisions.
- Coordinate remediation activities and support internal or external audits, regulatory changes and industry initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Strong AML/CDD and KYC knowledge, including complex onboarding, enhanced due diligence and documentation requirements across APAC jurisdictions.
- Ability to manage BAU onboarding cases while balancing change deliverables, competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience leading or supporting change, digital/AI transformation, process-improvement or regulatory implementation projects.
- Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive actions to completion.
- Process improvement skills, with the ability to analyse existing workflows, identify root causes and develop practical, controlled solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by the effective use of operational data and management information.
- Control-focused mindset with a sound understanding of regulatory, operational and reputational risks.
- Strong stakeholder-management and influencing skills, with the ability to work across Operations, Global Financial Crimes, Technology, Sales and other functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present clearly to management and wider stakeholder groups.
- Self-motivated, adaptable and comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant project, workflow or reporting tools.
