Global Transaction Services (GTS) comprises of Cash & Trade, Securities Services and Fiduciary Services. In an increasingly borderless world marked by burgeoning trade flow, expertise in trade finance services is an invaluable asset. With cash the lifeblood of every company, so too, is a good understanding of how to manage these cashflows. Trade Finance, together with Cash Management, is the mainstay of GTS, and is extended to SME and corporate clients for their local and cross-border financial transaction needs.

Responsibilities:

The role will be part of the syndication loan agency team which acts as Facility Agent, Security Agent and/or Account Bank and supports all RM segments across the Bank.

The candidate will need to assist with the following matters :

• Prepare fee proposals and work with all relevant stakeholders (internal/external) to onboard new transactions
• co-ordinate and facilitate the execution of documents and ensure that all relevant documents are uploaded to e-storage/sharepoint in a timely manner
• work with operations team to ensure a smooth handover of matters to the operations team
• review and ensure quality and consistency in delivery of service standards to clients
• prepare and periodically review policies, procedures, manuals, checklists, operating memoranda, workflows and administration documents to ensure they are updated
• identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiencies and drive business growth
• maintain DBS internal control standards including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external auditors/regulators
• ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and rules (where relevant)
• prevent or minimize errors in the business processes that may lead to exposure to risks of financial or reputational loss
• keep updated on industry developments as well as industry standards and practices
• provide guidance, training and coaching to staff as required, including training on agency products and industry development (if any)

The role will also require the candidate to be involved in liaising with external legal counsels on the review of legal documents as well as assist with preparation of presentations to management, data analytics for business development and/or client servicing requirements and participate in other initiatives undertaken by the business unit.

Requirements:

• Degree with 5+ years relevant experience
• Good understanding of market practice in Loan Administration and Operations, especially with Syndication Loans and Agency roles
• In-depth knowledge in syndication loan documents and ability to interpret legal documents
• Default loan management skill and knowledge
• A proactive attitude and a strong sense of initative
• Strong sense of responsibility and takes ownership of assigned tasks
• Ability to work in a team
• Strong risk mindset
