Location Overview
Our London office is based just a stone's throw from the magnificent St. Paul's Cathedral on bustling King Edward Street. Here you'll find modern workspaces and a state-of-the-art auditorium space. Role Description:
You will be responsible for analysing both industry risk and individual company credit risk across the capital structure (including corporate hybrids) and maturity curve in your defined coverage sectors. You should be comfortable modelling companies' financial statements. You are expected to make differentiated relative value recommendations on your broad coverage universe, in written reports which will be published and sent to our global client base. You will present your viewpoints to our internal and external clients. You will be a part of our highly ranked Credit Research team which has an excellent reputation and track record with our clients.
Responsibilities
- Cover both high yield and high grade corporates as part of their role
- You will leverage insights gathered from your research to provide recommendations on the purchase, sale, or holding of securities to institutional clients and internal clients such as sales and trading
- Collect information related to all relevant inputs and market trends and to develop innovative insights into companies under coverage
- You will analyse covered companies' capital structures as part of your due diligence and be ready to present to institutional clients and industry groups your conclusions, opinions and recommendations
- Where needed and relevant, incorporate Sustainability themes into your investment processes
- You will develop and maintain databases and indicators for critical research products, including financial statements and market valuation indicators
- Collaborate with colleagues across the research group including our equity analyst peers to deliver innovative cross-asset insights
- You will work closely with our internal partners in Sales and Trading to optimise our service to our investing client base.
What we are looking for
- Proven ability to produce written research that meets the firm's standards for the basis of recommendations and risk management.
- Previous experience covering corporate credit or corporates, regardless of asset class is highly preferred.
