Kastle - Falls Church
Overview
Director, Brand & Content Strategy
Kastle is looking for a senior B2B content and brand leader who understands that great messaging moves deals forward — not just traffic. This role owns Kastle's organic search strategy, content narrative, and lifecycle messaging from first touch through late-stage nurture and sales enablement. You will work closely with conversion, demand generation, and sales partners to ensure Kastle shows up when buyers are ready — and keeps them engaged through every stage of a complex buying journey.
This is a senior individual contributor and team lead role responsible for defining and operationalizing Kastle's brand voice, content strategy, and organic growth engine. The Director of Brand & Content Strategy owns everything that shapes how Kastle communicates — from the words on the website and the tone of a sales one-pager to the editorial calendar and SEO roadmap. This person will lead a Copywriter and partner closely with Product Marketing, Growth, and Design to ensure every touchpoint reflects a consistent, compelling, and category-defining brand. You will set strategy and also directly manage the Digital Content Copywriter, overseeing day-to-day content production, quality, and editorial direction.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Brand Strategy & Voice
Own Kastle's Brand Identity in Content
- Serve as the ultimate steward of Kastle's brand voice, tone, and messaging standards across all written and content-driven touchpoints
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Brand Guidelines, including voice principles, terminology standards, messaging hierarchies, and channel-specific tone guidelines
- Ensure all content — from website copy to sales enablement to social media — reflects a consistent brand identity aligned to Kastle's positioning as the leading Managed Services provider in physical security
- Partner with Design to align visual and verbal identity, ensuring brand cohesion across campaigns, collateral, and digital properties
Category Narrative & Thought Leadership
- Translate Kastle's strategic positioning into compelling narratives for external audiences
- Build and maintain the Kastle point-of-view library: industry commentary, LinkedIn thought leadership, blog content
- Identify opportunities to shape the Managed Physical Security category narrative through owned and earned content
Content Strategy & Editorial
Own the Content Roadmap
- Develop and execute a full-funnel content strategy that supports awareness, consideration, and pipeline across Kastle's key segments (national CRE accounts, city expansion markets, enterprise verticals)
- Build and manage an editorial calendar aligned to product launches, campaigns, seasonal buying cycles, and category moments
- Define content formats and channels: long-form thought leadership, case studies, solution briefs, web copy, email nurture, video scripts, and social content
- Prioritize content investments based on pipeline impact, search opportunity, and buyer journey stage
Content Creation & Quality
- Lead and manage a Copywriter who will execute day-to-day content production; provide clear editorial direction, briefs, and quality review
- Set and hold a high editorial bar — Kastle content should be clear, confident, and free of generic B2B language
- Manage relationships with external content agencies or freelancers when needed for scale or specialization
SEO Strategy & Organic Growth
Own SEO Strategy
- Develop and execute Kastle's SEO roadmap across technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content-driven growth
- Partner with Brand/PR and Product Marketing to build keyword strategy aligned to category messaging (e.g., Managed Access, Physical Security, Managed Services, Security Operations)
- Improve site architecture, internal linking, and conversion paths to increase organic pipeline contribution
- Conduct competitive SEO analysis and identify "share of search" opportunities
- Manage content briefs and SEO optimization workflows with the Copywriter, content creators, and agencies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with VP of Go-to-Market and CMO on strategy, targets, and prioritization
- Partner with Product Marketing on positioning, persona alignment, and competitive insights to ensure content reflects current market reality
- Collaborate with Brand/PR/Events for creative direction, campaign messaging, and event content
- Partner with Sales and SDR teams to understand the buyer conversation and create content that supports complex, long-cycle B2B deals
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- Proven B2B brand and content leadership experience, with a track record of building or sharpening a brand voice in a technical or enterprise category
- Exceptional writing and editing skills — able to move fluently between executive thought leadership, technical solution content, sales enablement assets, and digital copy
- Strong SEO fluency with experience tying content strategy to organic growth and pipeline, not just traffic
- Experience managing and developing content team members; able to set editorial direction, write effective briefs, and hold a high quality bar
- Comfortable with complexity: long sales cycles, multi-stakeholder deals, and the nuance of translating technical product value into buyer-facing messaging
- Strategic thinker who can zoom out to protect brand coherence while executing at the content production level
- Familiarity with physical security, PropTech, CRE, or adjacent B2B verticals is a plus — comfort learning domain-specific language quickly is essential
- Strong analytical instincts; able to use performance data, SEO metrics, and pipeline signals to evolve the content and brand strategy over time
