Job Description:
This job is responsible for preparing and reviewing documentation in accordance with policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include independently performing research and discussing loans with line of business partners with confidence and knowledge. Job expectations include independently working with a range of complex documentation and interfacing with company vendors, legal counsel and line of business partners to ensure world-class documentation accuracy.

- Ensures accuracy of documentation, timely delivery of documents and elimination of controllable re-work
- Maintains a high level of accuracy
- Assists Market Leader in the facilitation of team meetings, training and quality review as needed
- Works independently to perform research and discuss loans with line partners
LOB Description
This job is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and validating loan documentation in accordance with established policies, procedures, and applicable requirements. The role independently researches documentation questions, identifies and resolves discrepancies, and partners with internal stakeholders to support accurate and timely loan documentation.
Key responsibilities include applying sound judgment, managing multiple priorities, and communicating effectively with line of business partners, vendors, legal counsel, and other stakeholders. The position requires strong attention to detail, ownership of assigned work, and a consistent focus on documentation accuracy, risk awareness, and the reduction of preventable rework.
Responsibilities
- Prepares, reviews, and validates loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established policies and procedures
- Identifies documentation discrepancies, researches potential solutions, and takes appropriate action to resolve or escalate issues
- Ensures the timely delivery of documents while maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy
- Works independently to research loan and documentation-related questions and communicates findings clearly to business partners
- Partners with line of business contacts, vendors, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to obtain information and resolve documentation matters
- Manages multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and appropriate documentation of work performed
- Applies sound judgment and escalates complex, unclear, or higher-risk matters through the appropriate channels
- Identifies opportunities to reduce preventable rework and improve documentation quality, consistency, and efficiency
- Supports team meetings, training, quality reviews, and process-improvement activities as needed
- Maintains awareness of applicable procedures and requirements and incorporates changes into daily work
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in banking operations, loan servicing, loan documentation, commercial credit, or a comparable financial services environment
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply procedures, requirements, and supporting documentation accurately
- Strong attention to detail, with a consistent focus on quality, accuracy, and reducing preventable rework
- Ability to independently research and resolve documentation issues while recognizing when escalation or additional partnership is appropriate
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with business partners and other stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ownership, sound judgment, and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- High school diploma, GED, secondary school credential, or equivalent experience
Desired Qualifications
- Previous commercial loan documentation or commercial credit experience
- Working knowledge of Loan IQ or a comparable loan accounting or servicing system
- Experience reviewing legal documents, entity structures, organizational documents, or other loan-related documentation
- Legal, paralegal, quality review, or documentation-control experience
- Experience supporting training, team meetings, quality initiatives, or process-improvement activities
- Experience working with business partners, legal counsel, vendors, or other stakeholders to resolve documentation matters
