CarePoint is seeking an EMS Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Emergency Physician to join our growing EMS team in beautiful Denver, Colorado. This is a unique opportunity to join a 100% physician-owned and democratically governed group. Our physician team provides medical direction to multiple agencies across urban and rural areas in Colorado.
Academic Integration & Residency Launch
This is an exciting time to join the CarePoint team at HCA HealthONE Swedish as we launch our new Emergency Medicine Residency program, targeting a 2028 start with six residents per year. As a physician here, you will have extensive opportunities for teaching, curriculum development, and collaboration in a growing academic environment. You will work within a dedicated GME infrastructure to help shape the next generation of emergency physicians.
Position Highlights
Split Role: ~80% clinical shifts in the Emergency Department and ~20% EMS administrative/leadership responsibilities, with opportunities for expanded EMS involvement.
Leadership Duties Include:
- Developing and implementing system-wide EMS protocols and advancing EMS front-line clinical care and education to area EMS agencies and EMS clinicians.
- Supporting EMS medical direction in contracted and affiliated systems.
- Driving growth and oversight of pre-hospital services.
- Strategic development of new technologies in EMS care and communication, including telemedicine.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Clinical Rate: Starting at $165-175/hour for ED shifts with annual increase before eligibility for full partnership and productivity-based compensation at year 3.
- EMS Stipend: $25,000 annually (with potential for growth)
- Path to Partnership: Join a 3-year track to full, equal partnership. Partners enjoy significant salary escalation, with our main site partners recently earning over $300/hour. Our ownership is flat, meaning you become an equal shareholder with a voice in the group’s future.

Requirements
- BC/BE in Emergency Medicine
- EMS fellowship or equivalent advanced EMS training required
