Minimum Qualifications
To apply for appointment as a police officer and be eligible to sit for the Civil Service written examination
you must meet all of the following Civil Service Commission requirements:
1. You must be a citizen of the United States at the time of application.
2. You must be at least twenty-one (21) years old within sixty (60) days of the date of the written ex
amination.
3. You must have a valid operator’s license at the time of application.
4. You must have a high school diploma, GED, or other commensurate high school equivalency certi
fication at the time of application.
