What You'll Do:
Operate a wide variety of heavy equipment and commercial vehicles
Load, haul, and manage materials and supplies efficiently
Use hand and power tools to complete assigned work
Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment
Maintain inventory and ensure vehicles and tools are ready for daily operations
Follow established procedures to complete skilled labor tasks
Document completed work accurately
Provide excellent internal and external customer service
Support other departments as needed
What You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 to 3 years of experience in construction, utilities, or heavy equipment operation
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Ability to obtain required CDL endorsements within 6 months of hire
Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to safety and attention to detail
Ability to follow directions and solve problems effectively
Additional Requirements:
Must establish and maintain a residence within 50 miles of Columbia within 90 days of hire
Must be available for occasional on-call or weekend work as needed
