Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.Position Overview: Talking Rock Ranch is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead one of Arizona's premier private residential golf communities. The General Manager serves as the strategic and operational leader of the Club, responsible for delivering an outstanding member experience, driving financial performance, and cultivating a high-performing team culture. This role requires a visible, relationship-driven leader who can balance member engagement, operational excellence, and strategic growth, while partnering closely with the Board of Directors and Troon leadership.About Talking Rock Ranch: Talking Rock Ranch is a private, gated community in Prescott, Arizona, known for its:- Championship Jay Morrish-designed golf course- Strong sense of community and lifestyle programming- High-quality food & beverage and clubhouse experiences- Commitment to authentic, Western-inspired hospitalityThe Club operates with a focus on member satisfaction, financial sustainability, and continuous improvement. The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of club operations, including Golf Operations, Food & Beverage, Agronomy, Membership & Marketing, Finance & Administration, and Facilities & Amenities. The GM ensures alignment across all departments to deliver a consistent, elevated member experience.
Experience Required
Required:- Minimum of 7-10 years of senior leadership experience in private club, resort, or hospitality management- Proven success as a General Manager or senior department leader- Strong financial acumen and operational expertise- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive culturePreferred:- Experience in residential golf communities- Familiarity with Troon systems and platform preferred but not required- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or related field
Essential Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Culture:- Build and lead a high-performing leadership team- Establish a culture of accountability, service excellence, and collaboration- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent across all departments- Lead with presence and visibility, engaging members and associates daily2. Member Experience:- Champion a best-in-class member experience- Maintain strong, authentic relationships with members- Respond proactively to feedback and continuously improve service delivery- Ensure consistency across all touchpoints including golf, dining, events, and amenities3. Financial Management:- Develop and execute the annual operating and capital budgets- Drive performance toward NOI targets and long-term financial health- Monitor key metrics including labor cost management, F&B cost of sales, and membership growth and retention- Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting4. Board & Governance Partnership:- Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors- Provide clear, concise, and strategic communication- Support Board committees and governance best practices- Align operational execution with the Club's strategic plan5. Operations Excellence:- Ensure seamless execution across all departments- Maintain high standards in golf operations and course conditions, dining quality and service, and facilities maintenance and aesthetics- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies6. Membership & Revenue Growth:- Partner on membership sales strategy and positioning- Support marketing and communications efforts- Enhance programming and events to drive engagement and usage- Strengthen the Club's brand within the Prescott market7. Capital Planning & Projects:- Collaborate on long-term capital planning- Oversee execution of approved capital projects- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with member expectations
