- Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic
Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Eastern Oregon Rental and Sales. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of a variety of equipment in our rental fleet, ensuring that all machinery is in optimal working condition for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a diverse range of equipment, including but not limited to generators, power tools, construction machinery, and other rental equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform necessary repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
Conduct thorough equipment assessments to identify and address potential problems before they escalate.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and services conducted.
Collaborate with the rental team to ensure rented equipment meets safety and performance standards.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal performance.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, equipment manuals, and manufacturer guidelines for proper maintenance procedures.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding equipment status, repairs, and any additional requirements.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as an equipment mechanic, preferably in a rental or construction equipment environment.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures for various types of equipment.
Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
