Job Description:
This job is responsible for providing operational support for securities, loans, exchange traded derivatives and over the counter derivatives across multiple lines of business through the lifecycle of a trade. Key responsibilities include handling trading and operational activities before deadlines, maintaining internal systems and providing operational support to internal partners. Job expectations include maintaining a high degree of accuracy with customers and data to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.

We are seeking a dedicated Operation Analyst to join our Equity Derivative Settlements team in Charlotte serving our priority clients, in which you will provide technical and support in an industry leading Derivatives support function.
Charlotte is a growth location for Equity Derivatives as we are looking to build out a local team to service our US based clients. You will be in contact with partners globally, some of which will be very senior people. The locations could range from Hong Kong, Singapore, London or New York so you will have the chance to create solid relationships with these locations.
Responsibilities:
- Providing excellent client service to our priority clients to agree cash flows, providing all round client service to our global business
- Investigating and resolving pre and post cash settlement discrepancies and non-receipts. Undertaking cash reconciliations3
- Reporting on and clearing cash breaks. Analyzing and resolving a wide variety of derivatives operations problems
- Liaising with London, Hong Kong, Singapore and New York Trade Support to resolve and call out risk and break issues
- Adding value though implementation of improvements to the system infrastructure and control environment by taking part in project and ad-hoc testin
- Preforming root cause analysis, communicating updates and critical issue to senior management and making constant effort to improve client service and efficiency.
- Performs set-up and maintenance of core data across client, account, instrument, and agreement data, and oversees data quality within key data platforms
- Ensures transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Provides operational support for one or more activities within the lifecycle of a trade, including trade processing, trade settlement, accounting and reconciliation, lifecycle events, and collateral management
- Conducts daily monitoring of client trading activity across multiple markets, servicing clients' needs
- Completes accurate, timely clearing and settlement of trades with internal and external counterparties, including reconciliation management and governance of trade fails and breaks
- Performs tasks accurately during high volume periods in a team environment
- Identifies and flags potential risks in a timely manner
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of financial services experience in a client facing role
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build relationships across all levels of seniority and with internal and external clients
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation. Good level of competence in Excel and Outlook
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a high-energy environment and to learn and develop in a fast paced, high volume environment
- A keen problem solver and a thirst for process improvement combined with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
