Description
The City of Rochester, Michigan, seeks candidates for the position of Police Officer in the Police Department. This is a full-time position. Shift selection is by union seniority. Officers currently work 12-hour shifts.
This position requires strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. The ideal applicant will also possess a positive attitude, exceptional customer service skills, a style that supports teamwork, collaboration and positive relationships. In keeping with the City's commitment to customer service, our Police Officer will be forward thinking, flexible, work closely with other City departments and anticipate problems. Prior experience is desirable but not necessary.
Salary range: $58,968 – $93,995 (DOQ w/highly competitive benefits package, including a defined contribution pension benefit). Apply by 4 pm, Friday, September 25, 2026.
