This role sits at the heart of our consulting delivery. You’ll act as a bridge between clients and project
teams, using your operational expertise to shape clear, structured inputs that underpin modelling,
analysis and recommendations. You’ll lead workshops, work closely with analysts and consultants, and
ensure that everything we deliver is grounded in real operational practice.

- Strong problem-solving ability, comfortable working with ambiguity and incomplete information.
- Ability to translate operational processes into structured, usable inputs for analysis.
- Collaborative and comfortable working alongside analysts and consultants.
- Well organised, with the ability to manage priorities across multiple activities.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and developing your own expertise.

What you’ll do
As a Subject Matter Expert, you’ll:
- Lead and facilitate client workshops, guiding discussions to defined outputs.
- Capture operational detail and translate it into structured, model-ready inputs for analysis.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies or risks and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Work closely with analysts and consultants to ensure modelling reflects real-world practice.
- Contribute to reports, presentations and client deliverables.
- Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, representing ORH professionally.
- Support continuous improvement of our tools, approaches and standards.
