POSITION DESCRIPTION
SAP NS2 is seeking a Professional Services Contracts Manager to support its growing portfolio of offerings to government and regulated commercial customers. Candidates local to the Herndon, VA office strongly preferred.
This position will perform contractual analysis and provide contractual advice to the business segment in connection with government, commercial contracts and prime contractor agreements (i.e., teaming agreements, nondisclosure agreements and subcontracts), with a primary focus on commercial consulting services. The position requires analysis and review of FARs, DFARs and agency regulations for acceptability and compliance. The position requires working knowledge in the areas of national security, FOCI, export controls, cybersecurity, intellectual property and other contractual matters as they arise. The ideal candidate must be able to perform independent analysis of issues and drive the implementation of enhancements to both internal and external policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to identify and prioritize critical tasks and drive business-oriented solutions, while mitigating organizational contractual risk. The successful candidate reports directly to a Sr. Director of Contracts within the Legal and Contracts Department.
Major Duties and Job Responsibilities:
- Provide contractual advice and guidance to the business in connection with a broad range of contractual instruments and agreements procured under the terms of FAR Part 12, with a primary focus on commercial consulting services.
- Strong diplomatic negotiation skills in support of finalizing agreements.
- Mitigation of contractual risk with the practical knowledge to protect intellectual proprietary rights of commercial software licenses and associated support agreements.
- Review, analyze, and provide solution-oriented guidance on complex issues including thorough review of proposals, solicitations and resultant contracts and/or subcontracts.
- Support proposal development in accordance with solicitation instructions and in coordination with business segment.
Identify risk and areas of concern with respect to contract terms and conditions based on company policies and applicable laws and regulations. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to confirm acceptability of relevant contractual terms and/or develop alternate terms and conditions as part of the contract negotiation process.
- Draft, review and approve contract modifications and amendments.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- 8+ years commercial and federal contracting experience with expertise in US Government and FAR Part 12 commercial contracting, 10+ years of experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge and experience relating to applicable US Government and federal agency regulations, FAR, DFARS and related supplements.
- Strong contractual negotiation skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Track record of providing timely support to internal business partners.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to providing contractual advice.
- Flexible and willing to support the business on any critical tasks.
- Work independently while managing others and competing priorities.
- Keeping management fully informed of activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- CPCM, CFCM, CCCM, IAPP or similar certifications.
- Candidates local to the Herndon, VA office are strongly preferred
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Requirements
