Position Summary
Job Description
As a Prosthetic Technician you will be responsible for casting and fabrication of prosthetic devices under the supervision of a Certified Prosthetist.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Diploma in a Prosthetics Technician Program approved by Orthotics Prosthetics Canada (OPC) or equivalent of 4 years of registered (with OPC) on the job training Registered with Orthotics Prosthetics Canada Interns may be considered
Additional Required Qualifications
Maintain credits for CBCPO registration. Must be able to tolerate the physical demands of the role including but not limited to lifting up to 30-50 lbs., standing and walking for most of the day, using hand and power tools in environments which require eye and ear protection.
Preferred Qualifications
Second year apprenticeship completion in welding, carpentry, electrician an asset. Connect Care training and proficiency in using Microsoft suite of tools is an asset.
