Description
About Us
Rooted in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains – we focus on rural architecture that connects people to the landscape and to each other. We design spaces that are grounded with natural materials, elegantly composed, and rigorously detailed. We believe that beauty is essential and is achieved through human-inspiration, continuous refinement, and skilled craftspeople.
Our work spans modern homes, hospitality, and community projects, each rooted in craft, context, and collaboration. We are a small, highly engaged team that values curiosity, integrity, and design excellence. We believe great projects come from strong relationships, open dialogue, and a shared commitment to doing meaningful work in an inspiring setting.
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Interior Designer to lead and grow our interiors practice. This role is ideal for someone who combines creativity and collaboration with strong project management and client relationship skills—and who is excited to help shape how our studio delivers interiors services.
You’ll be responsible for developing and executing design concepts, sourcing materials and furnishings, and collaborating closely with our architectural team. Beyond design, this position plays a key role in refining our process, elevating client experience, and helping expand our interior design offerings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead for interior design within the studio, guiding the vision and approach across residential and hospitality projects.
- Lead interior design efforts from concept through installation, including space planning, material palettes, furniture selection, and styling direction.
- Collaborate closely with architects and clients to ensure a cohesive, integrated architectural and interior design vision, blurring the boundaries between disciplines.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of interior construction drawings, specifications, and FF&E packages.
- Perform construction administration to see design intent realized on-site.
- Demonstrate an understanding of—or a strong desire to learn about—furniture procurement, managing vendor and fabricator relationships.
- Manage and organize the studio's materials library in collaboration with the design team.
- Multi-task and manage deliverables efficiently across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Oversee interior design schedules and budgets in coordination with project teams.
- Help shape, refine, and document the studio’s interior design processes, standards, and client offerings.
- Represent the studio confidently in client presentations, design reviews, and meetings, providing exceptional service.
- Contribute to business development efforts, proposals, and marketing initiatives to help grow the interiors portfolio
