As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Digital Channels team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study plus six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience as a Software Engineer, IT Consultant, Applications Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree and four (4) years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree with six (6) years of experience. Requires experience in the following: Angular; Cassandra; Cloud Services including AWS or Azure; Java; Javascript; JSON; NodeJS; React; SOAP and REST web services; Software Development; Spring Framework; and TypeScript. Telecommuting is permitted up to 40% of the week.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in financial services or highly regulated environments.
- Exposure to additional AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, JUnit).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and performance optimization.
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts or tools is a plus
