ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
19th State Group is proud to represent a physician-led, CLIA-certified genetics laboratory based in the Seattle, Washington area, specializing in pharmacogenomics (PGx) testing, diagnostic genetic testing, and genetic counseling.
We are seeking a senior-level Independent Sales Representative to expand the lab's provider network across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Our client is one of the few full-service PGx and diagnostic genetics laboratories in the Northwest United States — accepting all major insurance plans including Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Cigna, and Medicare — removing one of the most common barriers in clinical lab sales.
This is a ground-floor opportunity to represent a clinically differentiated, insurance-accepting laboratory with a compelling value proposition for physicians, pharmacists, behavioral health providers, senior care facilities, and healthcare research organizations. You will have the autonomy to operate independently, leverage your existing network, and build a residual book of business in a high-growth segment of precision medicine.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
• 5+ years of experience in clinical lab, genomics, or pharmacogenomics sales
• Demonstrated background on the research or genotyping side of the industry
• Established network of physician, clinic, pharmacy, or healthcare facility contacts — particularly in the Pacific Northwest
• Proven track record of independently managing and growing a sales territory
• Self-directed and entrepreneurial with strong closing ability and a consultative approach
• Familiarity with PGx, NGS, or molecular diagnostics is strongly preferred
• Experience operating as an independent contractor or carrying multiple complementary lines is a plus
COMPENSATION & STRUCTURE
This is a senior independent business development opportunity with uncapped commission potential, focused on building strategic genomics and clinical diagnostics partnerships across the region.
• Structure: Fully commission-based
• Earning potential: Uncapped
• Residuals: Yes — recurring accounts
• Territory: Pacific Northwest + beyond
