Description
Store ManagerFLSA: Exempt
Schedule is at the discretion of the company based on needs, at minimum is required to work one night per week until 9pm
Reports to: VP of Operations
Summary : Directs and manages all phases of store operations in a manner designed to achieve and exceed all Boyers Food Markets Store Operating Targets, by exceeding our customers expectations in all aspects of Red Shirt Service, Cleanliness, Product Quality, and General Store Presentation.
Directly Supervises : All store level teammates
Essential Functions :
Manages, assists, and supports RSS Manager in teammate management/HR functions when needed
Responsible for all store department personnel
Backs up the Non-Perishable and RSS Managers in all functions during his or her absence
Responsible for and oversees all buying and ordering practices to maximize sales and gross profits/CTO, while maintaining acceptable inventory level standards; including maintenance of proper stock levels Regular Shelf and Ad Items
Communicates and maintains a good working relationship with corporate management and
vendors
Responsible for and oversees all departments for proper shrink/damage control
Responsible for and oversees all departments to ensure proper signing and tagging procedures are followed
Responsible for store presentation standards (GOLD Look)
Responsible for achieving all store Sales Targets, Gross Profits, Payroll, and Expense categories.
Knowledgeable in all corporate procedures, policies, and programs
Assists in achieving 100% compliance in all state, county, or local codes/laws related to the operation of a business
Responsible for and oversees (assist as needed) in monitoring all cash accountability, accurate store bookkeeping, and departmental inventories
Responsible for maximum utilization of store teammates through effective scheduling, counseling, orientation, evaluation programs, training programs, motivation, and supervision
Responsible for and oversees cleaning and sanitation program for the store
Holds weekly sales meetings, daily huddles, and participates in staffing meetings
Responsible for all company Safety Programs within the store
Responsible for and maintains all company Security Standards and Procedures within the store.
Use of DVR/Camera System
Responsible for and oversees compliance with receiving procedures in accordance with
company polices
Responsible for all Teammate/Customer accident reporting and investigating directly or by
oversight
Monitors the payroll system and scheduling program
Responsible for and completes payroll procedures
Responsible for and performs weekly Labor Projections in order to meet store SPEH goals
Oversees completion of monthly WIC Audits
Oversees Physical Inventory process and procedures
Familiar with and abides by all aspects of Boyers Food Markets Teammate Handbook
Perform any additional duties as assigned by corporate management

Answers questions for customers
Suggests products
Performs price checks
Brings customers to the location of the product
Assists customers with product
Assists in maintaining and promoting the Red Shirt Service Culture
Essential Minimum Qualifications/Skills
Minimum requirement of a high school education; College preferred, but not required
Minimum of 7 years experience in the supermarket or related retail industry, with minimum of
3 years successful experience in a departmental management position
Working knowledge of the supermarket industry and also, the ability to make effective decisions
and provide good leadership
Excellent oral and written communication skills for dealing with customers, teammates, and
vendors
Basic math skills to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, gross margins, mark up,
percentages, portions, ratios, and volume
Basic PC operating skills including the use of MS Office, Email, and all other company utilized
software programs
Excellent organization and follow up/follow through skills
Good time management skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to meet or exceed deadlines and goals
