Job Description
Bank of America operates in multiple countries outside of the U.S., offering a wide variety of products and services to clients. In Asia-Pacific, product offerings are currently centered in corporate and investment banking and securities. Business plans are developed by business group, product, and client segment globally. At the same time, the local economic environment, client needs, and regulatory requirements create the need for a country-level governance of the company's business.
The role of the COO team in Singapore is to support and enable the Country Executives across Southeast Asia to fulfill their governance obligations. The COO also provides advice and leadership towards the achievement of the combined organization's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its performance plans (goals and objectives).
You will utilize your extensive business acumen to understand the business models within the industry. You will be a highly effective communicator at all levels of the organization and have the ability to produce financial and other business analysis, and to deliver high quality presentations that convey highly confidential and sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a consultative role in translating measuring, analyzing and reporting business performance for Senior Management
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory, bank policy and control requirements.
- Proactively identify and deliver relevant analytics to address key business needs and drive business growth
- Coordinate with enterprise control functions (GTO, CFO, Compliance, Risk) to help to ensure the businesses in the region are run effectively and within the requirements of the regional control policies, regulatory requirements, and the Risk Framework.
- Establish and execute efficient processes for updating recurring business reporting packages
- Derive business intelligence from internal and external sources and identify new relevant data metrics to assess business performance
- Coordinate BCP planning and execution, as well as updating BCP documents.
- Assist with the design, development and the implementation of any regional metrics system and dashboards
- Work with other COO teams on key projects and initiatives
- Take a lead role in the governance routines for Southeast Asia and relevant legal entities
- Provide support on regulatory exams, external and internal audits in terms of exam management, content and quality of submissions
- Ensure timely and accurate updates of service and outsourcing relationships which COO are designated to oversee

Technical Skills/Knowledge
- Financial Services knowledge
- Strong communication skills in relation to people at all levels of the organization
- Superior analytical skills with an ability to relate them to business opportunities
- Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to prioritize
- Ability to communicate and present complex information to a broad audience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Co-Pilot. Demonstrated skills with query, reporting and analysis tools
- Ability to navigate complex/matrix management
